The Atlantic Puffin found on the northern shores of Newfoundland is much smaller than I expected. It stands only 10 to 11 inches high but its easy to see how it earns its nickname of "Clown of the Sea". The bird is highly social and we frequently laughed to see these little birds hoping over rocks and grass to check out what the other puffins were doing.
