I am currently working to establish myself as a Professional Photographer. I own and operate "Puttknob Photography" doing unique photography and photo restoration work. I am located in south Louisiana in the Baton Rouge area and LOVE referrals. If anyone has needs or knows of needs here in the area for my services, let me know!
My Photography Equipment:
I am currently using a Canon T3 DSLR with a 18-55mm, a 75-300mm lens, and a 50mm lens. I also sometimes opt to use my Canon G10 P&S.
That is so exciting! I have already posted work that I've taken with my new Canon. You can look at the hundreds of pictures I have posted. I need to clear some of them out. I thought there was a way to make a PRIVATE folder and then I could just move the "good photos" over to a public folder, but no such luck.
Oh my gosh! I bet you are so excited about your new camera! Let me know when you've posted pictures so that I can check them out! The T3 is good .... I am actually discovering that I'm not using a couple of the features that were the main reason I got the T3i but oh well .... Enjoy your day!!
Thanks Adin for your comments , the kaleidoscope pics were really just experimental , I used nothing more than table top tri pod a drinking glass to hold the scope and different modes to see what worked . I hope to do it again with more light behind the scope for more illumination .
I had a couple of Canon point & shoots and on March 9th I was blessed to be able to purchase my very first DSLR, a Canon EOS Rebel T3i. I LOVE IT! LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT! It has a couple of features that the T2i does not, including vari-angle LCD which is cool for those times that you cannot get down on the floor to take a picture. It also has internal features (fish eye, toy camera, etc) but honestly I haven't figured out how to use it. Okay, let's be real here .. there are MANY features that I don't know how to use .. YET! I am eager to learn! Let me know how it goes when you get to buy your new camera!
thank you for welcoming me im meloi from the philippines and im an amateur in photography im hoping to gain more knowledge when it comes to photograpaphy... thnk you
Hi there and thanks :)
I had the pleasure of working with Neil van Niekerk, (www.planetneil.com) for two years co teaching his lighting workshops around the country. I owe a lot of my technical knowledge about lighting to him.
Strange, I met him on a photography forum and I guess he liked me because after three months he offered me a job people would have killed for. LOL I also run the boudoir photography network. It is a new website I'm trying to do something with. Not sure if I'm going to keep it going, turns out running a website is a pain in the A**. I had no idea!
Hi Adin, Take a look at my portfolio, I use a Canon D450,(Rebel XSi). It is 12MP and I have several lenses with it. I bought the camera and lenses (Used) about four years ago, from KEH Camera, keh.com. They have all kinds of photography stuff, both new and used. Their used stuff is rated from Like New to Bargain, and you have two weeks to return it for ANY reason. All of the stuff I bought from them was rated Bargain. I have taken many thousands of pictures, and never had ANY problems at all. Jim McConnell.
CameraClickr, I purchased CS5 for about $800. What type of a student do you have to be to get this discount? I'm currently enrolled in School, does that count?
So many things make me happy, hard to choose just two but I would have to say that traveling is a big one for me.
Amsterdam
Ahhh relaxing on an island beach with a cocktail.
