Unaltered Photographs

A group for photographs which have not been touched-up. Nothing has been cloned-out, added in, brightened, enhanced or altered in any way. Cropping and rotation is okay but that's all. The photo should be exactly what you saw through the viewfinder.

" Straight from camera (except for resizing) using a 50mm f1.4 tilted up to further reduce DOF. Ideally the contrast should have been turned up a bit more."

Something is wrong.. can anyone help?

Posted on December 27, 2007 at 9:17am 4 Comments

I'm a very amateur photographer and have only posted one photo on here (brush and razor) but the more I look at it the more I feel that something is very wrong with it... the problem is I just can't put my finger on it. Is it the composition, colouring, depth of field, subject of focus??? I'd be grateful for any suggestions.

Hi! We used to have bats that lived behind original old window shutters. When the shutters were removed from our house, we lost the bats. It is unusual to see them in our yard now. Neighboring old buildings and barn were also torn down . . . wish we did have them again. If they ever come flying when it is somewhat light out, and I have my camera with, I will definitely try and let you know!

Hello. I was very interested in the bat discussion as I use the K10D as well. Did you have success in photographing them? Were you able to get close to them? Have you purchased a longer zoom (yet)?

Further PS Though I am much older than you, you remind me of a guy named Dean Gamble that I studied dance with many years ago when I was active in community theater.

Cheers. Seeing as you asked, I've just got back from a holiday in Wales snapping photos up mountain so I'll upload a handful this evening.
