Hello Alice and Welcome to PictureSocial. Hope you find it an enjoyable place that you can learn and maybe teach others. We do have a wide range of User Groups. If you are interested, you can find them under the "Groups" tab at the top of the page. Hope to see you there.

oh bill! no no no! you didn't appear to be pushy! on the contrary! i appreciate your input, since you have obviously been on here way longer than myself :) i posted my favorites of the whole wedding season 2009 first and then, since the last engagement session was from early 2010 and loved it, i thought to show it all. anyway, no worries!

i am looking forward to seeing your wedding photography and to participate in future discussions regarding the wedding photography business on this site. i have been at it (and loving it and full time) for the past 6 years and have lots to share with anyone who is interested! on the other hand, i am also an eager learner and look forward to insights and advice veterans with more experience than me may have.

thank you for starting the lines of communication and see you around the site!

Thanks for your reply Alice. I really hope I didn't come across like an old grouse. I can only really speak for myself but my observations are that most members will post a few in a series, more if there is significant variation but a half a dozen of similar shots seems to be the high end. This site isn't so much for promotion but for sharing, learning, teaching and the joy of photography. Also there are 18,000+ members so a lot of posts go in per day. It's very ok to post your best. I find that a most inspiring part of this site.

Ok end of lecture. Sorry.

By the way, there is a wedding photography group in the site, looking forward to reading your experiences and advice. I'm also shooting weddings, in my second year, but not full time. Still doing the day job, building up inventory of equipment etc. My business is growing steadily and I find that exciting.

hi bill. thanks for your comment. the last batch of photos i uploaded are a whole set of engagement photographs of one couple. i thought to share not just a few from each shoot, because i didn't want to appear to be hand selecting the best. i wanted to show our consistency and our dedication. my plan is not to post every single shot of every single shoot, of course. i simply picked this particular engagement session because i particularly liked it. forgive me if i am wrong, but i thought this site was to show off portfolios. a way to find inspiration and to communicate with others in the same field. am i mistaken to think i can show more than a few? i don't mean to infringe upon the rules. i meant no harm. thanks.

Hi Alice. Hope you benefit from joining this site.
I hate to be negative right out of the gate, but you posted way too many photos of the same subject in my opinion. Good subject matter and good photographs, just too many.
