DSC_0195...I used like a 2-5 second exposure. While the camera is taking the pic i just zoom in or out depending on what effect you want. Make sure you have a remote it makes the process easier.

Hi Regarding your question abt my IR picture- you can get that effect by using "Channel mixer" adjustment layer in Photoshop, you will need to swap red channel with blue and blue channel with red. Here is a link to a tutorial how to do that step by step. - http://www.pbase.com/dlarson2/ir_work_flow , Hope that helps.

BTW - you got some very nice IR pictures, if you apply these techniques they will pop out.

Thank you Ava for your comment on my Fern Canyon photograph. The canyon is pretty amazing. It is only really accessible in the summer because it is full of water during the winter. The ferns stay green all year.

if you use 3pod, and take a picture in long time (1" ~5")(use close diaphragm)
water look smooth :-)
