I was born in Northeastern New Mexico and lived in several small towns until I enlisted in the Air Force during the Korean War. I bought my first Milnolta SLR in a PX in Japan and used that camera for many years. After graduation from UCLA in 1956, I started my banking career. For more than 40 years I worked as a bank loan officer, bank executive and retired in 1999. Photography has always been a hobby and passion, probably since my Mom had a Kodak box camera and took photos of every family occasions. i still have the original b/w negatives taken by Mom of me and my brother at age one. Photographing landscapes of the Imperial Valley, including the Glamis sand dunes, the Salton Sea and Anza Borrego State Park has been a great experience. My landscape photographs are displayed in private and commercial collections in the Imperial Valley as well as three magazines published by the Imperial Valley Economic Development Corporation (web site www.IVEDC.com.
Tina and I have been to Italy a number of times to visit her relatives in Tuscany and Sicily, what a wonderful opportunity to photograph the warm and charm of Italian people and places.
