"That's great Brent! .... I started by just taking a few hours per day - 7 days a week towards the data entry. You would be surprised how fast the numbers go up. Also, I am not sure if you saw the video, but when you see "Field Report…"
"Thanks for the reference to the site. I have joined and have also become a data recorder as well. Since I am retired, and my reading and typing are not too bad yet, I thought that this may be a bit of time that I should not waste. Thank you for the…"

Limited but long time searching for the right photograph that would feed my soul. I am now among senior ranks and not as nimble as I once was. Still see things that excite me though. Strictly an amateur.
My Photography Equipment:
Pentax ME SLR (not Digital) + all of the necessary lenses that will do the job. All of the usable filters, and tripods needed. Kodak EasyShare Z710. Portable Dock and Printer. Do not like it as much as my Pentax. Doesn't make you think.
Contact:
I especially like older jets. Other than that, my e-mail address is my only contact.

Today was my day for running around to see various Doctor's and get checked out. First was the eye doctor, and then blood tests. Next was the kidney Doctor. Finally this afternoon I am going to a special clinic to see if any of my medication should be changed. I try to do this once every 3 months or so, and that way I can get my wife to book a day off of work to drive me around. This long note is to inform you that I have not yet tried to do any of the data cards yet. I will give it a go tomorrow and see how I make out. Again, thanks for pointing out this site to me.
I have been with SETI for the last 3 years. All that program does is check for noise patterns from the universe and see if any are someone or something trying to contact us. The program uses only the time I am not on my computer. Every month I get a transcript of all of the work my computer has done. I have had 2 in that time that were highly detectable and worth looking for again to see what they have been. I realize that it sounds kind of "out there" but it has not been any problem for me. How could it be? Talk to you later, Jim.
That's great Brent! .... I started by just taking a few hours per day - 7 days a week towards the data entry. You would be surprised how fast the numbers go up. Also, I am not sure if you saw the video, but when you see "Field Report File" the scientists need ALL of the entry duplicated in the observer's text area. Not to worry if there is no observer name written on the card on other cards though. You will be surprised on some of the famous names that pop-up here and there. Theodore Roosevelt, Clarence Birdseye just to name a few.
Hello Brent and Welcome to PictureSocial. Hope you find it an enjoyable place that you can learn and maybe teach others. We do have a wide range of User Groups. If you are interested, you can find them under the "Groups" tab at the top of the page. Hope to see you there.
Yes, most have been taken right in the Moira River in the downtown core ... I try to keep buildings etc. out of the scenery. Not to say some subjects were taken in more remote areas. I haven't been out in the field enough this year due to working on a project in Maryland that is taking the 6 million bird sighting cards from 1880-1970. Remember Miss Jane on the Beverly Hillbillies? Well I am entering the data from people like her. lol!
I have managed over 25,000 database entries since I think August of last year. I am "driven" to this project due to it's Environmental importance.
