A beautiful coworker named Becky, I photographed a couple of summers back, at a company picnic. I'm using her image to try out new techniques on, and this is one of them, adding selective saturation, and sunlight to my images, plus giving it that…
Candid moment with my wonderful Son, and precious Wife. I celebrate this image because it embodies all my training in creating images, and I have to say that this one turned out way beyond my expectations.
African American Married Family guy, who loves life, and the view through the lense. I seek the face of Christ in all my shots. I find that beauty in all living things, in all scenery. Whatever moves me, I photograph. I'm a Photoshop/Lightroom wiz. I've learned over the years not to use my software like a jackhammer, but more like a paintbrush, to add beauty to each image I shoot, and create. I also make pictures. I don't focus on what is wrong in my shots, but all things that are right in the shot. I am very open minded, and willing to learn anything I haven't really experienced, before.
My Photography Equipment:
Nikon D80/ AF Nikkor 70-300mm 1:4-5.6G/ Sigma DG 28-70mm 1:2.8-4/ Nikon 50mm f/1.4D AF Nikkor/ Nikon 18-105mm DX VR Nikon SB600 Flash. Vintage Sunpak Flash Gun, which is really my fav @ the moment.
Bryant--thank you for the compliments and kind words. As far as work flow, I download all images into one folder. I skip through the folder finding the images I like and transfer them to a folder of "keepers" for the month. From there, I edit them for the monitor and save that file. I then save a copy slightly lighter that is adjusted in curves for printing. I have it down now on what just a tweak in curves will do on my printer that I have at home which is archival quality prints. It took a little trial and error, but I got it. I back everything up on DVD/CD and also on external HD. I will then have a quick reference as to if I am using the image online or using it for print.
I hope this helps and thanks again for the kind words and stopping by!
