I love your photo of the bridge--very pretty. Michael played around with it and made it look almost like there is snow on it. Looks good, but I prefer yours--I am drawn to color.
I've had camera, in hand & ready, since I was 10 years old, often called Candid Candy in my youth. I am just now really trying to learn how it's REALLY done, so that I can make better use of my avid LOVE for capturing life via camera.
My Photography Equipment:
I'm a Nikon girl by choice, from my N56 35mm to my Nikon Coolpix to my Nikon P90 to my Nikon D80 and I also carry along my Sony Cybershot 12 mp Point and Shoot for those " just don't want to miss it" moments where a big camera isn't the easiest to grab & shoot with. I've recently started shooting more with a Sony A390, as well.
Hi Candy :-) Thank you for those nice comments! I usually use my D700 for almost everything, it's like my everyday camera. For studio shots I use the D3x. The D300 stays nicely in my dry box hahaha ;-D Comparing them with Canon 5D Mark II, I would have to say 5D has more advantages overall, but for photo quality (and noise, which Canon can't seem to deal with, still) I still prefer Nikon cameras. And you know what? I'm getting the 5D this month! :-D
Hi Candy
Thank you for the comment(s) always is great when someone appreciates what i've done.
And please do ask questions - always good to hear a different take on how people get things done.
I apologize for not responding sooner. Thank you for the compliments. I will be adding some new shots to the gallery, including some landscapes taken on a recent trip to the Oregon coast.
You have a variety of set ups and will find the one that words best and build upon it. I have discovered that having a decent monopod and experimenting with settings is the best way to do low light shots. If the situation permits, a tripod is even better, particularly with a remote shutter. Your D 80 is a GREAT camera, providing a platform to truly learn and grow with.
Thank you again. Here is a link to more of my galleries. http://zekesphoto.smugmug.com. I am in the process of re arranging and editing my work as I have learned quite a bit since joining this site and find that what was once acceptable now needs to either be reworked or set aside as 'learning'.
Be well. Feel free to drop a line with a question or thought or comments about my work, the site, a recent adventure.
good morning Miss Candra..... weather can change real quick up here in central BC, and we could get a huge dump of snow at anytime now..... rain showers today. We had an early snowfall and a sudden cold snap a couple weeks ago, caught a few folks unexpectedly over the thanksgiving weekend, myself included... not normal this time of year, way earlier than expected.... up in the hills it's snowing pretty good right now!
peace
