Back from Africa Part 3 Hippo

Posted on November 23, 2008 at 5:33am 1 Comment

From a photographic point of view they pose their own kind of problems the biggest being is that they do they spend most of… Continue

Male Elephants grow to a height of 11 feet, can weigh up to 6.5 tons and claim the status of the biggest land mammal their tusks are the most dense organic material on earth so when you see these guys play fighting its best to keep well clear even if you are a hippo !!

The Elephants can be dangerous if they feel threatened especially if the group contains young as this group did then the male can become quite… Continue

Crikey!  Just looked through your photos.  What an amazing talent you have (and no doubt you've put a hell of a lot of work in as well!) . Each photo is a gem.  In fact, I'm pretty sure I've seen a few of them before .. no doubt published in a photography book or online somewhere.  As they say here in NZ ... orsum!

Hi David,

I really like your photos, especially the photo from the perspective of a bee. :)  It just shows how you've got to think a little outside the box to get a truly different perspective.  I'll be sure to look in different ways now I've seen how you do it.  Thanks!

Looks very surreal. I like the split in the image between the top and bottom and the tree which offsets it. Nice work
