Hi Dano. One has to understand animal behavior when out there. You got to know the safe zone and read the signs of “discomfort” from animals. We recently were camping in Lake Nakuru, at dinner time; out doors we heard three growls. I turned around and a pride of 4 lionesses and two sub-adults on the prowl trotted past us. They must have been at least 5 meters from our table. They weren’t bothered about us, they were hunting and they warned us by growling that they are coming in, they mean no harm and they’re on the way out. The next morning during our game drive, we found them feeding on a buffalo 1 km from camp.
