- About Me and My Photography Experience:
- I am truly amateur. Started when I was in my early teens. Still not without trial and error, My photography is still basic. My first camera was the Box Brownie, which I still have. Next was a 21/4" square format, I think it was a Konica, through the lens viewing, lovely camera. Then came my 35mm Edixa, on to a Minolta 5o mm,close-up, 50 - 200mm lens, bellows.
Digital has by now been around for many years, and bought my first which was a Samsung L310W, an excellent starter which I still use and take with me along with my recent camera which is a Canon 500D kit lens 28 - 50 mm.
So, one might say I should be with the top photographers by now, but in reality I am just still a beginner at the tender age of almost 70. What a plonker,,,,,.

Canon EFS 18-55mm IS lens.
Canon 70 - 300mm IS USM lens.
Sigma 105mm f:2.8 Macro.

Hi member's.
I am a bit worried about why my screen goes black only a minute after switching on, the camera is working OK. I am taking a couple of shots of a subject, I have to switch off then back on just to view the screen. I am using the original battery that came with the camera which is now 1 year old. I do keep the battery well charged.
Any ideas. Danny.
