Hi. I'm new to PictureSocial and noticed that there was no group for users of the Sigma 10-20mm lens, so I've started one. Please stop by and join us if you use either version of this lens.…Continue

I don't own one yet. I'm still trying to decide between the Sigma, Tokina and Nikon choices.

Thanks to everyone who has joined the group. If you know a photographer on PictureSocial who uses the Sigma 10-20 please encourage them to join the group, and help people get the most out of wide-angle photography.

Canon Rebel T2i, with a Sigma 10 - 20 mm lens.  Shot at 20 mm, f/22, 1/90, ISO 400.  The buildings really do look like that.  The near one will look less yellow when the balcony railings are up and the yellow fencing has been removed,…

Strange buildings. What focal length was the lens set at? What was the camera set at and what brand camera is it?

Taken with the Sigma 10-20 but there is an obvious problem since the condo buildings came out bent!   ... Kidding... ;o)

Don't forget to consider the Tokina AF11-16mm f/2.8 AT-X 116 PRO DXTO FIT CANON • NIKON-D APS-C Sized Sensor Model Only

Looking to buy an ultra wide zoom soon for my Nikon APS-C sensor cameras.  my top contenders now are probably the Nikon 10-24 or the Sigma 10-20 3.5.  any help would sure be appreciated.

About Me and My Photography Experience:
I started taking photos in the mid 1970's on a Kodak Instamatic 126. Borrowed my Dad's SLR a few times but didn't get seriously into photography until after I became a Dad in 2004. I have been putting my pictures on Flickr for 3 years, and recently I've started putting my better shots on redbubble. I am in the process of creating my own web-site www.davidsmithimages.co.uk

I have had a couple of photos shown in Photography Monthly's web gallery (when they needed to be approved) and had a photo in the final round of Landscape Photographer of the Year 2009. Had my first photo in print November 2010 in World of Photography Vol I.

My main interests are Black & White, and HDR. [Update July 2010 : Started experimenting with Hipstamatic]
My Photography Equipment:
My first digital was a Minolta X20, closely followed by a Z3. As my interest (and frustrations) grew I bought a Minolta Dynax 5D, and later a Canon G9. I am currently shooting with a Sony Alpha 700, with (mainly) Sigma 10-20mm f/4-5.6 and Sigma 28-70mm f/2.8 lenses.

Welcome to the alpha group. I read that you have 10-20mm lens. Have been contemplating that one for my next purchase as soon as I can justify the hefty $1000. price tage. I just spent $1000.00 on a 70-300G lens and just ordered a set of extension tubes.

Welcome David...I too love shooting Landscape. Have had a few pics published in Texas Parks and Wildlife Magazine. My man is highly publised in many of our giant states different magazines with over 17 front covers. He is my mentor and my worst critique.
Looking forward to seeing more of your work.

thank you Don, the building was vacant and I was doing a before and after shoot with the designer, when he was looking out the window I managed to get this shot, and then added my own twist on it.
