The knee with the flowers is one of the most confusing details shots I've come across in a while. Do you have any where both of her legs are showing? That would help this shot a lot.
Nice! It's funny how I feel like I'm back in school with this lens. It just looks cool. Some guy came up to me and was like "5D MK ll... what lens is that???,did you have to modify the camera???"
So I bought a Fotodiox Nikon F Lens to Canon EOS Camera Mount Adapter because I found my old 50mm Nikkor 1.8 AIS from high school film days.
Took this insane test shot with it!
So I wanted to try the whole updated highpass editorial/magazine portrait look. What do you guys think? I didn't want to over filter the shot, but this style does call for some heavy sharpening. I kinda backed it off some.
What do you guys…

Awesome! I'm glad you like it (as so many seem to, haha). I was born and raised here, hardly been anywhere else, so I'm pretty accustomed to the desert. I think I'll always come back to it with fondness. It's home. =) I like that I can always find more to capture here. There is so much I haven't seen and done despite living here. haha
Wow! Two years. I am slowly, one or two days at a time adding my daily photos from my 67 days. Somerwhere near the end, maybe in abt a month, I will be adding Shanghai. The URL will be www.randyHI.com/China/Shanghai I hope I caught some images there that will prove to be nostalgic for you. Of course I also hope you will check out my other China albums as well and all comments are welcome. Thanks.
I just played ur slideshow - fabulous eye! You really capture "the decisive moment" -- I'm jealous! Your China photos make me "homesick" -- and I was only there for two months. If it is a just world you will do well in your new studio!
Hello David and Welcome to PictureSocial. Hope you find it an enjoyable place that you can learn and maybe teach others. We do have a Canon User Group. If you are interested, you can find it under the "Groups" tab at the top of the page. Hope to see you there.
