David Ward replied to David's discussion 580 Ex II in the group Canon User Group
"If u want to learn about off-camera (strobist) photography go to http://strobist.blogspot.com/2006/03/lighting-101.html or http://speedliting.com/  Both these sites are good, the first having a slight bias to Nikon and the later more Canon…"

David Ward replied to Pradyumna Roy's discussion Calculation in the group Canon User Group
"you need the size of the base lens ie x2 extender on 100mm = 200mm.  A lot of compact cameras measure the lens with 'x zoom', therefore it is the same principle.  You may have to read the specifications to find the base lens…"

David Ward replied to Joel Osten's discussion What lenses should everyone have? in the group Canon User Group
"Learn to walk before u run.  It is far better to have a few quality lenses than a bag of lenses you rarely use.  Find out what u want to specialise in first, the lenses that u have will cover most areas adequently.   I would…"

David Ward replied to Anil Patil's discussion Need advice on canon lens. in the group Canon User Group
"The 2x extender adds on 2 f stops so this will increase yr f4 up to f8 so will not be very useful in low light situations but cheaper than a new lens.  I suppose it depends on what u use it for and more importantly when ie early morning or near…"

David Ward replied to Tony's discussion Should i sell 10-22 efs to get 70-200 f4 IS in the group Canon User Group
"There are a couple of things to take into consideration Tony.   What price u get for your lens, used goods normally don't sell as high as new but u might get lucky.  Is the price you get worth lossing the lens.   Why get a 70-200…"

crazy world of photography! In this site, you'll find photographs which
come from beginners, amateur and professional photographers and I must
say that all of them do some amazing work. I'd also want to invite you

You can start discussions, comment on pictures, and share some of your
advice, criticism and experiences in the forum, and I'm pretty sure
you'll get positive feedback from a lot of nice people here around. I
hope you'll enjoy it here!
