- About Me and My Photography Experience:
- I attended the University of North Texas and studied Radio, Television, Film and Photography. I have taught numerous photography workshops such as: How to Photograph High School Seniors, How the Eye Sees Light, Digital Photography, "So Simple Even a Knucklehead Can Do It", Studio Portraiture "The Simple Techniques for Posing Families", Engagements, Bridals and Weddings 101. Many of the workshops were taught at, Creative Images by Marcel's and Marcel's at Monterra. I am currently completing an eCourse on Digital Photography and creating eBooks and online Workshops. I have been a professional photographer for twenty-five years. I have won a number of photography awards, continue to attend seminars and am a member of TPPA, MPP, PPA and WPPI. Photography is constantly changing creatively and evolving technically, and I believe photographers will always be students to some degree.

- Nikon D300, D700, 8 lenses ranging from prime, wide angle to telephoto, White lightnings, Photogenics, Canon AE1 for B&W Infrared film, RB67, Hasselblad 503CW, RB 645 Canon 5D, and various 120/220 backs and lenses, 3 - Zeiss Lenses, and many other pieces of equipment to numerous to mention.

Many people first starting out can't afford the services of an assistant. What to do.Well, that depends upon the size of the wedding and photography needs. It's best to start out by doing small weddings that normally can be handle by just you. However, as you grow, so should your staff - by at least one- your assistant.

The story begins, but not without a wedding contract. I cannot stress enough to always get a wedding contract signed.
§ A contract is always a good idea to make sure all things are covered. I call it the “Peace Keeper.” It protects both parties from any possible misunderstanding or possible problems.

Just been looking through your pics - your portrait photography is inspiring.
I'd like to do some wedding photography one day but I'm way too inexperienced to be let loose with a camera just yet. The thought of messing up someone's wedding pictures just doesn't bear thinking about! Would love to find out just how stressful your first wedding shoot was and how successful you thought it was.
