"Thanks so much for your insight Richard. I have a professional photographer friend who asked me what kind of camera I used. When I told him the Canon 1D Mark III and a 5D Mark II, he told me not to worry about a cover. Those cameras are ultra water…"

Stephen Joe Payne replied to Don Bender's discussion Rain covers in the group Canon User Group
"I don't but I just wanted to make a comment, that rain generates sort of a secondary humidity from droplets in the air and wind currents and that humidity seems to me to be as dangerous as actual rain striking the camera so I would suggest not…"

Richard Crowe replied to Don Bender's discussion Rain covers in the group Canon User Group
"I like the OPTECH Rainsleeve for casual use. Although the OPTECH Rainsleeve is a cheap and light rain cover for camera and lens, I regard it as more of an emergency fix than a cover which will be used many times.  I carry a Rainsleeve for each…"

It looks great but it doesn't look like it will be easy to shoot in portrait mode which is probably what…See More

Don Bender replied to Kiran's discussion capturing the lightning
"Any camera can capture a good lightning shot as long as it has the proper manual settings for adjusting exposure, aperture and ISO to get a long exposure. Shooting lightning is much like shooting fireworks but with much less predictability. By that…"

Hello there and welcome to PictureSocial.com, a network of photographers. I'm glad that you've joined and it's time to be in the crazy world of photography! In this site, you'll find photographs which come from beginners, amateur and professional photographers and I must say that all of them do some amazing work. I'd also want to invite you to join groups here such as Nikon Users Group, Canon Users Group, Live PictureSocial Chat Group and Pixel Induced Group(an all around group) and joining these groups can help improve your knowledge in photography. You can start discussions, comment on pictures, and share some of your advice, criticism and experiences in the forum, and I'm pretty sure you'll get positive feedbacks from a lot of nice people here around. I hope you'll enjoy it here!

Cheers!
Maeda
