- About Me and My Photography Experience:
- Taking pics for over 50 years, wedding photographer (past), ceramic and pottery shop owner for 10yrs. and instructor. U.S. Navy aerial photography, Jacksonville, Fla., Cuba 1960, 61, 62. Making industrial TV commercials., I do push the envelope wih contrast and saturation, thats my style. I love experimenting with colors and trying different techniques to bring out the textures and colors hidden the subjects. Some of my pics are best viewed full screen. I consider myself more of a artist than a photographer., " think different shoot different"., For reading material I recommend the following, B&W + Color Presents., (The Special Issues)., large format paperback at your news stand, for 12 bucks you can't go wrong, I get some idea's, you might to. Have a great week shooting pics everyone. Self taught, I tossed the rule book out 50 years ago. Some of my pics could be classified as," Isolated Abstract's"., I made that up. My profile pic. was taken of me in 1956, the truck is a 1911 Chev., I think., the pic was taken with a Kodak Brownie. Guess I'm just a rough freelance photographer.

Two books to take a second look at, in paperback large format for under $15.00. LIFE Guide to digital photography and B&W SPECIAL ISSUE over 230 pages of b&w pictures, I like this one best, I get idea's and you might to, have fun this weekend shooting!

- Sorry I have been away from PS for a while. We are still tilting at windmills. Shell Windenergy seems determined to destroy our ridge top in order to save the planet. I have been looking at your photos. Your photos just seem to get better and better. We are visiting relatives and friends in the southern part of the state and plan to return home via the coast. I hope to have some new photos to post when we get back.
I hope your spring is beautiful with a lot of opportunities to get out and shoot.
