THANK U SO MUCH IAN. I will attempt 2 variations of what U suggested here and let's see what I can achieve... This is just one of their requests. Pray for me and I will be so excited to share all that I was able to capture. I am excited and a…

This is a 30 second exposure at f22, the camera was focused on the fire for 23 or 24 seconds then turned quickly to the lady for the flash to go at 30 seconds which gives the effect of her sitting in the fire. you could do your wedding shot…
wow you do like the difficult shots. My instant thought was cut and paste. You couldnt get them to stand still long enough but there is a way.
You want 2 or 3 seconds at least to get streaky car lights probably depending on the speed of the traffic…

A tripod and less wine would have worked better.

You want 2 or 3 seconds at least to get streaky car lights probably depending on the speed of the traffic a little longer maybe 6 seconds. You would need your flash gun set on 'final curtin" thats probably a Nikon term but it means the flash goes off when the shurtter closes not when it opens. You could set a 6 second open shutter and the flash would go off right at the end.
If you can get them in your foreground and have it nice and dark so you don't 'burn' your shot especially of her white dress, let the car lights pass then let the flash go you will get a crisp shot of them. You might even have to have them hold up a dark cloth over her dress to keep the white out until the end.
It would also be possible if you have a really long shutter speed of around 30 seconds to have them walk in and pose in the last 5 or 6 seconds when the flash goes off. with a shutter that long you wont see a trail of them walking in if the foreground is quite dark.
does this make sense?
I did something similar around a camp fire one night I can sed you. This should be an easyenough shot to practice as you could set your camera on a self timer and walk infront your self.
Brilliant idea you have, so clever I love to see you pull it off it would be magnificant.
