Hi Eva. Thanks for the comment on my close up flower shot. I agree on the white area in the background. I cropped most of it out but it is still annoying. I shot the same flower from a different angle removing that white background. I'll be uploading that one shortly.
Hi Eva, The Photoshop I use is Elements 9. I don’t use it much, only to resize mainly. I did buy the “Elements 9 for Dummies” I will look and see if I can find how to do it. I mainly use Picasa for my editing as I believe a good photographer should take a good photo to start with and only tweak it to make it better. I don’t get to the bush very often as the Kruger National Park is about 5 hours’ drive from home but I was there in September for 5 days and made the most of it. Thank you for your positive input on my images. It is much appreciated. I will post a few more as soon as I can for you to see. My Pollen Bee image was taken with a Canon 100mm Macro lens. I find the 500mm lens is too heavy to carry around when I’m out and about snapping away. I have looked and your images and I’m green with envy at the gorgeous places you have taken them. I live in the concrete jungle in Johannesburg and don’t get to the sea very often. Your mushroom images are amazing. Each one special in some way. Looking forward to seeing more of your work.
Thanks, Eva, for the kind remarks. I would have loved to have had better weather and even a few clouds. Either Australia is the world capital of amazing cloud cover or you are incredibly lucky. I can honestly say that we don't get anything like them here in my part of the world.
