The Greatest Escape is that of the mind... Welcome to My Escape...
About Me and My Photography Experience:
I am currently a Network Engineer by trade. I have done a few things in my life. While in the Air Force (1976-1985), I was in the Security Police career field. While in the Air Force I also bread and showed Alaskan Malamutes. When I got out I did security and P.I. work for a while. I used to do a lot of 35mm film photography in the late 70's and early 80's. I had my own enlarger and used to enlarge shots up to 16x20. All that went to my ex in the divorce, so for close to 20 years I did not do any photography. I started up again from scratch just within the last couple of years, where I got into digital. I love taking pictures of nature, just pretty much anything outdoors. More about me can be seen at my website listed below.
My Photography Equipment:
I currently use a Canon 50D & a 5D Mk III with the following lenses:
Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8 L IS USM
Canon EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 L IS USM
Canon EF 24-105mm f/4 L IS USM
Canon EF 17-40mm f/4.0 L USM
Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 USM Macro
Canon EF 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM
A Manfrotto 190 CF TRIPOD-Q90-3 SECTION tripod and the 3265 Joystick Head. I have a Manfrotto Monopod that has come in very handy at times.
I picked up the Canon TC-80N3 (Timer Remote Controller).
"Thanks Mike. That shot below was shot in jpeg. NOW here is the RAW format pic that I edited. It is more accurate as to how I saw the truck. It was a cloudy day & the truck had a darker shade of purple (THAT is what caught my eye) than the one…"
I am a student up here in Fort Collins, Colorado. I spend my free time clicking pictures these days, but I am a beginner.
I would love it if anyone who lives near me wants to meet up, although I'm sure I'll mostly be ending up asking you for tips and training... anyway thank you so much for inviting me to the canon group. I am interested in wildlife and landscape photography.. Nice to talk to all of you!
Hi Earl. Thanks for the welcome and invite to join the Canon User Group. I am not sure how much time I have to be a contributor but will be glad to answer any questions and share my experience in the field of wildlife photography.
Thanks for the welcome Earl. I look forward to participating in some of the groups. I tried one on editing and downloaded the picture to edit but did not know how to upload the edited one in reply. Where can I go to learn this?
