The Greatest Escape is that of the mind... Welcome to My Escape...
About Me and My Photography Experience:
I am currently a Network Engineer by trade. I have done a few things in my life. While in the Air Force (1976-1985), I was in the Security Police career field. While in the Air Force I also bread and showed Alaskan Malamutes. When I got out I did security and P.I. work for a while. I used to do a lot of 35mm film photography in the late 70's and early 80's. I had my own enlarger and used to enlarge shots up to 16x20. All that went to my ex in the divorce, so for close to 20 years I did not do any photography. I started up again from scratch just within the last couple of years, where I got into digital. I love taking pictures of nature, just pretty much anything outdoors. More about me can be seen at my website listed below.
My Photography Equipment:
I currently use a Canon 50D & a 5D Mk III with the following lenses:
Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8 L IS USM
Canon EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 L IS USM
Canon EF 24-105mm f/4 L IS USM
Canon EF 17-40mm f/4.0 L USM
Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 USM Macro
Canon EF 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM
A Manfrotto 190 CF TRIPOD-Q90-3 SECTION tripod and the 3265 Joystick Head. I have a Manfrotto Monopod that has come in very handy at times.
I picked up the Canon TC-80N3 (Timer Remote Controller).
Thanks for checking in. Yeah the shop said I wore it out, Guess I loved it to death. LOL. I bought the Canon 24-105 L along with a seven (7) year extended warrantee that was only $99.99 at 42nd Street in New York. I'll hang onto the old…"
"At Robert Davis re Canon 17 - 85. Mine has had no problems. Never heard of that. High dust would be my guess. In Iraq, all lenses were biting it after only a few weeks there. Desert Storm, no pun intended."
