After seeing the original, I think the "Photoshopped" version is better. As a photo, the original needed some work on the left side. Cropped basically in my opinion. In the finished version, your work in Photoshop made it more interesting…

Vito literally read my min in one of the croppings I was thinking of in my mind (with a nice balance of forground in the bottom, sky and leaves!) It's a much better cropping!

This is a great silouhette shot, I think you did a decent job of cropping it, but I also think this would be great as a panoramic. Try cropping a little more out of the bottom. Also, in situations like this you could also try zooming a little more…
