"Thanks, Ryan. Unlike some photos, you just can't plan images like this one. They just happen and you need to be lucky enough to be nearby..with a camera!"

"I also love natural light in photography. Very nicely taken photo. This is very nice for any ISO and truly amazing results for ISO 1600. Your Nikon and lens performed well."

A blank....

After working in newspapers for years and being a freelance writer, I can tell you that the greatest challenge that any writer faces is a blank page. It can be downright scary; how can I best fill it to tell my story, to move people, or to paint a picture.? Left unchecked, the challenge can be paralyzing.Picking up my camera, I can say the same thing, with a twist: how do I best fill the view finder (or photo paper, or computer screen or picture frame...just pick one) with an image that will…See More

Profile Information

About Me and My Photography Experience:
After 30 years as a newspaper editor, I am now chasing my passion: photography. I'm basically self taught, with only a few classes in college, continuing ed, etc. I love fine art photography, as well as landscape and abstract, macro florals. My first photo book, "Wisconsin Barns," a 2 1/2 year project, was published in April by Farcountry Press and I''m getting into teaching, lecturing about the book and barns while at the same time looking for fulltime work and a steady income in the business
My Photography Equipment:
Nixon D 200, D100, Mamiya 645, zoom lenses, macro lenses, all Nikkor. Nikon flash and a few studio items, ie., backdrops, reflectors, etc.
