I wonder what setting you altered in the menu when it all went wrong? So eliminate problems one by one. 1. Reset the camera by looking in your manual for your camera. 2. Make sure that:                  …

I like the join in the material, in the centre of the shot. It does absolutely nothing for me.

Fred replied to Myles Bond's discussion 'Flash Cards'
Flash cards are the same as anything electronic, when they want to go wrong they will. A few rules that I have always followed and this was from Lexar, years ago. Never delete a file by using the camera. After each session and you have downloaded…

When Nikon announces new cameras, the public knows, if they do not announce anything, the public does not know. Nikon never announce anything until they are ready. There is a huge electronics show coming up, that is where Nikon normally announces…

Sorry Anatolly the D800  is not a replacement for the D700 but a brand new camera, words from Nikon not me. I have seen this arguement on other forums, read Nikon's words of wisdom.

Fred replied to Jayme Paul's discussion 'Nikon with sunpak flash' in the group Nikon Users Group
I have just searched on Google for a possible answer and found that several people put this problem down to the refresh rate of the flash unit and there is nothing you can do about it. If you cannot afford a Nikon unit investigate Nissin flash units

Just go to the http://www.picturesocial.com/group/nikonusersgroup?xg_source=activity section and have a read on the wall, others have been discussing it for a few days and remember it is a brand new camera not a replacement or upgrade

Tiberman Please post some pictures on here of your attempts and let everyone have a look at them. Also try and give full EXIF data of each one. Nothing wrong with the D7000, nice camera but if you are getting a FX unit make sure all lenses you buy…

I have just received a message that states that the new D800 is not a replacement for the D700, the D800 is a new camera. That is from a Nikon employee who will not pass any more information on but he has promised to send me some files from the D800.

Only time will tell, Canon will be on the design table now but the 36MP is very interesting but I want to get my hands on the 800E, that could be very interesting

One problem, all the photographers that want cameras that I know will have problems importing cameras from the USA, any person in Europe has the same problem, we can import from China and Hong Kong easier than the USA. The other problem is they all…

thanks or the info. it helps, and teaches me some basics of high speeds. i was actually thinking more in the direction of fast movement capturing, say i want to capture my dog grabbing a tennis ball in mid air. do i still need the speedlight for this. i am still very much confused with using different shutter speeds, and what speed to use with which picture. thanks for your valuable insets.
