- About Me and My Photography Experience:
- Hi!
My name is George, and I am a native New Yorker, now living in sunny Miami, Florida. Photography is a passion, not a job for me. I see each shot as an opportunity to create a new piece of art. I strive to be the best I can be and do the best I can do in everything I do, especially when it comes to my passion for photography. Celebrity Shoots, Fashion Shoots, Musicians, Movies Stars, TV Stars, VIP's, are all fantastic shoots. I never get enough time behind the camera for that kind of stuff. I also love to shoot Weddings. I could do that every weekend of the year and be a happy camper. There is something special about sharing the most memorable day of a person's life with them helping them make the memories of that day last a lifetime and beyond. I love it!
Portraiture is an art form that is special to me, and I find it both challenging and engaging to take a person's portrait and turn it into something they will love for themselves. Now there's a challenge. Most people - models exempt- are never really satisfied with how they look in the mirror or in a photograph. We are very critical of our image and since we can't all look like George Clooney, but expect that we should, then there is always the let down when you don't see Clooney in your photograph. However, every person is different and special and every portrait therefore is a challenge unlike any other, since they are by definition all different. My personal challenge is to have my subject say, WOW, I love it! That makes me so happy.

My Studio is booking local and Destination Weddings, Quinces, Events, Portfolio and Model Shoots, and Portraiture Photography sessions both in Studio and on Location. I also do the VIP shoots and some fashion which I love to do, but my real passion, as I said above, is Weddings. Go figure. I have friends and even my own mentor, who hate to photograph weddings and the pressures that go along with the job. My mentor was a commercial photographer for over 40 years and he also had "White House" access during the Johnson administration, and is a self confessed control freak, so he hates the ad hoc, no control, out of the blue conditions that can be challenging on a wedding assignment. I love the challenge and beating old Murphy at his game.
I guess the real bottom line is that I love to photography people. I love to take a moment in time and convert it into a memory in history for all times and into a work of art, not just another snap shot. I want it to say, "Here was so and so, and look at me, how special and different I am/was."
I guess you can say that without a doubt, I am very passionate about what I do. But this is true about me in everything I do.
I recently opened my own new photography studio in the mist of a terrible economy, but it's doing better than I expected and I am enjoying every moment of it. Still a new work in progress though, it will get finished sometime this year, or next, as will my new web site, and I will hope they go from what they are now to -WOW!!!!!
