I am an amateur that likes to do portraits and generally enjoy taking photos anywhere. My favorite is people in active situations, amusement parks etc.
It's great walk around lens, sharp, but not so fast for low light situation even with VR, but that can easily be fixed by using a tripod. This lens will cover your wide angle, medium to long range so very versatile. I've had mine for 6 months and sadly, it's already "creeping". I read about this on many reviews but it doesn't bother me as much, It's not just this lens. Most push- pull zooms creep regardless of model. Most important for me is functionality and this gets an A+.
