I really like pic1, nice sharp focus although there are a few hot spots. pic2 just has an uncomfortable feel about it, she doesnt look relaxed, and the crop is way too tight.

Studio work

I would appreciate any comment about these photos. The one was taken in the studio and converted to black and white with cs5 and the other one was just plain with the black backdrop. It is a new genre I am trying and would love any feed back good or bad. Thx HermanSee More

Composition-wise I think your shot is Okay. However, my personal preference would be to have included the top of the in the left third of the shot since most of the tree is already shown. I also would/ve cut out a bit of the water at the bottom…
