This seems like an old discussion that I just stumbled upon, but if you are just doing simple stuff, Shutterfly is also a good service. I have used them a few times.
I've been using Mpix.com for about 5 years. I used to let them do corrections, and they almost always did a great job. In the very few instances I complained they immediately reprinted the order to my specifications, and overnight shipped it to…
I was a photographer in my first career...I won't say how many years ago. I worked for Master Photographer William S. McIntosh. My work was portraiture and sports photography. I was also lucky enough to work with a #10 Cirkut camera producing 10 inch by 12 foot contact prints.
I put my cameras away and went off to start a family and I haven't really picked them up until recently. So I bought a Canon EOS and I'm having a great time re-learning my photography skills. I love the instant gratification of digital but I do miss the darkroom.
I'm so inspired by all the great work I'm seeing on the web and I hope someday to produce at least one great inspirational photograph from my own lens. I know I will enjoy trying.
My Photography Equipment:
Starting with the Basics:
Canon Rebel XT EOS
EFS 18-55 f/3.5-5.6 II Lens
EF 75-300 f/4-5.6 III Lens
