I'm a programmer in my day job, but I've been taking pictures as long as I can remember. I developed my first photo when I was 6 in my dad's darkroom in the basement and I've been hooked ever since. I now consider myself an advanced enthusiast.
I just got my first off camera strobe and umbrella kit, and will be setting up a small portrait studio in a spare room as soon as I get a few more gadgets for it. I plan to use it to take portraits for myself my friends and my family.
My Photography Equipment:
I shoot wit a Nikon D40 with the kit 18-55mm zoom, a 55-200 mm VR lens and my new favourite 35mm f/1.8.
I have the beginnings of a studio setup with a simple off camera strobe, and 46" umbrella.
Wow, Stop it...you're making me want to go out and purchase this lens today!! :) My birthday is next month and hoping the family have pity on me and get it for me. I keep giving hints and suggestions to pool their money to get for me. If not, my lens' mad money should be up to snuff for me to purchase by then.
I got the 16-85mm f/3.5 last month. It clocks more time on my body lately. It's a sweet little lens but not as fast as I would like for indoor and low light. But for street scenes it's a champ.
I have struggle with the 50-70mm getting tack sharp shots, mostly on the long end...my technique :( But I'm getting there.
Really like your photos. You got a great photographic eye. Still developing mine. what PP software do you use, if any?
