Thanks for the invite! Your photos are lovely. I am just getting started and getting acquainted with the Cannon Rebel t3i...it is my first DSLR, so, learning all the navigation of the buttons, etc. I do love it so far. I have had it a little over 1 month, have taken tons of photos with it. I am excited to be using it and learning all about it! I am doing this for "fun" but maybe some day it will be more that that.

FLORENTINO ACOSTA said… One of the best lesson I have learned from my brothers was, " respect your client". Meaning,be professional and always be prepared. And from NYIP,well, you had probably heard this before, " KNOW YOUR SUBJECT,FOCUS, AND SIMPLIFY " .
FLORENTINO ACOSTA said… For me enrolling at NYIP became a foundation. It opened a lot of windows for me that I never thought it was possible. I have learned to see and not just looking. I became more discipline in my compositions. My big brothers were all in the wedding photography business and they taught me a lot and NYIP filled up the blanks. Before NYIP I was a self taught and have read a lot of books but that didn't gave me a solid learning. It was a refresher and it solidified all that I have learned as a photographer. But then again Ansel Adams didn't have a formal training. So why enroll now?

Gary Walters said… A weding client called me last week about a year after the wedding to do some family shots being they had a new baby. The baby was 3 weeks old and unless they are alseep there isn't much you can do. I felt totally silly and helpless. It may as well been a ball of snakes or a wet cat. i don't know how anybody does that and my hats off to those who can.
