I'm a female, a registered nurse, a wife, a mother, a new grandmother, a Navy veteran, a native of Kansas City, and an avid amateur photographer. Vacations are excuses for never letting a camera leave my hand unless I'm eating, sleeping, or showering. Any of these activities, however, can be interrupted if an opportunity shows itself.
My strength lies more in composition than in camera craft and I welcome any advice or criticism that can help me improve.
Welcome aboard, nice collection. I have a D70 as well but not sure what's the major differences between the D70 and D70s. The camera is fantastic for what it was and I kept it for sure. :)
thank you for your comments, I would love to have you join in the fun on my thread : http://www.picturesocial.com/photo/photo/show?id=1483478%3APhoto%3A500732
Hunting Island is very close to Beaufort, SC. We drove from there over to Charleston and it was about a 2 to 2-1/2 hour drive if I remember right. I love that part of SC. My sister lives by Lake Marion but is up here working by Weston at the power plant for about a year. We spent that vacation together seeing places she had not been to either. This was my favorite island because it provided such a variety of scenery and since it was a state park and you had to go through the campground to get to this part of the beach, it was not as commercial as some of those by Charleston.
Hi Jerry. Love looking at your vacation pics and what beautiful dogs. I work at St. Joseph Medical Center as an at-home medical transcriptionist. Glad to meet more fellow photographers from where I live.
Wouldn't it be great to be a vacation destination photographer?
OK, I am going off topic for this post, I want to know "WHAT WOULD YOU HAVE DONE DIFFERENTLY?" This is a photo of one of my grandson's little friends, I thought his eyes would be nice in a photo !
