About Me and My Photography Experience:
I am a semi-retired marketing consultant with photography as one of my hobbies. I would describe myself as a learning novice. I have had training in fine art drawing and painting. I taught, painting, drawing, design and art history at a college for many years. I no longer paint or draw but love to shoot photos.

I really enjoy taking photos and processing them... however, I am slightly lazy and do not want to do too much work :)
My Photography Equipment:
Sony a3000, e-Mount 18 - 55mm Sony kit lens, Sony OSS 55-210mm f4.5-5.3 lens; Fujifilm HS30EXR; Canon SX40HS; Canon sx150is; Canon sx130is Fujifilm Finepix S4000; Kodak z915

CameraClicker replied to Joe Machuta's discussion A question about lenses
"It looks like Joe might have a Sony, so Canon's 28-300 would not be helpful to him.  I do have one, however and it is a big, heavy lens compared to the 18-200 and 18-250 lenses for crop bodies.  To address the question above about…"

William Emmett replied to Joe Machuta's discussion A question about lenses
"I think what you're expecting out of a 18-200mm lens is a little short.  Zoo photos of all the animals in short enclosures, and larger, deeper enclosures would require a lens of at least 300mm at least.  These enclosures are usually…"
