Beatles vs. The Stones: Is it really even a debate?

Posted on May 12, 2013 at 8:30pm 12 Comments

I pledge, from this day forward, to never again be engaged in the classic argument of "Beatles vs. Stones", and conclude my unsanctioned debate career with this final statement: They were two completely different bands. The Beatles specialized in tight, beautiful line harmonies a la The Everly Brothers, and superb songwriting coupled with production that shattered the sonic boundaries of the recording studio. The Rolling Stones excelled in smoking cigarettes, overdosing, and looking like…

Thanks, Jordan.  The Nelson and Kauffman Gardens are two of my favorites.  I had last week off and hit both of them as well as Union Station, The OP Arboretum, and Unity Village.  Wanted to get a few more places, but didn't get the chance.  The walk along the river is on my list.  Your photos confirmed it!

Thank you, Jordan, for all the comments on my recent photos.  The City Market has been one of my favorite subjects this summer - easy to combine with my shopping!  It always has so much going on and is so colorful.  I look forward to seeing your shots of the Bond Bridge.  It's still on my list of things to shoot.

Thanks for the LIKES Jordan, I used focus stacking on the frog. It seemed to work very well. It's hard to get the little buggers to hold still long enough for shooting! That was my first attempt to use that software. It won't be of much use on live bugs and such but will work great on shrooms and still objects. Have a good one and keep in touch ole boy.

The pictures looking out over downtown were taken from the observation deck at the top of the Liberty Memorial tower.  Such an amazing view from up there - just very windy!
