When they're relaxed the photos will be way better, trust me ;-) Or you can just stay there for a while just doing shots at random stuff until they ignore your presence, then you'll get more chance to capture candid shots. Thanks for the comments! About the people shots, I often use a 50mm lens for those, Juinita. So yes, you have to get close to the subjects. Nope, no rejection, especially when you shoot in South East Asian countries, usually they just smile ;-)
