My mom is a photographer and I have always modeled for her and I've been into photography for maybe a year or so.
I plan on going to SCAD (Savannah College of Art and Design) In the near future

Kala, I'm intrigued to comment & say that you have a very good eye for abstract and what some people might call it art. At this age, if you are soo good at photography & creating a story..I can only imagine what you have to offer in years to come..every picture is unique & soo emotive in its own way..
You can be very good at stock photography, fashion & portraits..I'm very impressed by your pictrures..Good work & do keep up..Looking foward to see more :)

- Kala,
I just saw the photograph in the photo-criticism forum that says "Kill Me". I realize that some photographs are for effect but that one disturbs me and I have to ask, Are you Okay? It's unusual to see that type of work and I am concerned for you. If you're okay that's cool but I don't want you to be messed up and no-one know.

- Hey! I was chatting with one of my granddaughters' friends in Borneo about how she edits her pics -- turns out she uses a free online (browser) editor http://www.picnik.com/ -- don't know if it will suit you until santa drops off ur PhotoShop but perhaps?

- Sorry I missed this reply re ur mom's site. Thanks for the info. I hope you haven't found me too gushy! I am naturally very breezy as you can confirm from my blogs and discussions here. But, in your case specifically, I am just so impressed! I would be very impressed if you were a 55 year old life long professional! I would be impressed but not surprised. You add surprise! Maybe it is like a track coach when a new student runs a 10.3 second 100 yard dash in street clothes. You just have so much native talent but already combined with sound technical fundamentals! I hope you continue to share your growth for many years to come!

- IC! Well, fortuneatly you are good at self-assignments and u r receiving excellent guidance. You can find more help and inspiration here at PictureSocial. In addition to "Photo Critism, " other groups you might consider are "Daily Chatter" and "Unretouched." Does your mom have a flickr page? website? It would be fun to see them to analyze whether or not the apple does fall far from the tree!
