Spring 2011: Final Portfolio

In this final portfolio for the 2010-2011 Photography Intensive class at Wellesley High School you can see a myriad of pictures. Spring 2011: Welcome To Wellesley

The recent series of photographs that I added to my page is titled, Welcome To Wellesley. This series was shot last night in Wellesley Square. With these images, my intention was to capture the essence of the sky and some of the places in downtown. In addition, the purpose of this was to play with light. Last summer, 2010, I had the opportunity to intern for Wellesley photographer, Nancy Carbonaro. As her intern, I assisted on several photo shoots, primarily family portraits. One of the best things I learned while doing this internship was maneuvering through photo shop. What I've Done in 2011...

Starting out as a free-lance photographer, I have photographed several things. I am into sports photography and portraits. Currently, I am a Junior at Wellesley High School and photograph the Football, basketball, and dance teams. With these images, I submit them to the Townsman (town newspaper), Yearbook, parents, and I create a slide show for the end of the year banquet commemorating a wonderful season the athletes had.

You might like to look at work by some of the older masters who started out in black & white, their composition and balance can be an inspiration.
