I can only tell you what I know about myself. For the longest of time, experience as a Wedding and Portrait Photography.I have tried to understand why the myriad of colors that define and beautify the world appeals to me in as much as it appealed to the geniuses of old like Michaelangelo and Picasso. It took me so long to discover the truth that I was born to do art. People call me an artist. And I can’t blame them. They have seen my charcoal paintings, they’ve touched the surfaces of my canvases, they’ve smelled the perfume-like fragrance of my acrylic paintings. And the moment I discovered the age-old talent which is creeping in my veins I just bowed down in front of God and thanked Him for the gift. And that was just the start of my artistic journey. I developed my artistry under the auspices of my art mentors and art club members. And I observed that, like the art geniuses of old, I have become a self-made artist.
But painting and sketching would only be the tip of my self’s iceberg. Deeper still, one will discover in me more things other than my passion for the visual arts. Music is also like a poison creeping within each of my red blood cells. And I know music like I know the back of my artist’s hand. There is that itch in the tips of my fingers whenever our drummer begins to beat the drum to the tune which every normal human being would fall for. And then our lead guitarist jives in to the music as our rhythm guitarist plays his part. And just before our lead singer completes the deafening equation, my fingers caress my base guitar with a blasting sound which can resurrect Beethoven from the dead! And that was just the start of our never-ending pursuit for musical perfection.
But then again, my being an artist is like a crazy typhoon which nature herself cannot stop. It is so because my newest fetish is in the digital arts of the cyber world. Bill Gates was lucky he was born a head of me because had we been born at the same time, it would be a Kent, and not a Bill, who will become a computer magnate. Tell me your name now and I can put all your profile running worldwide in flash-based program which my created webpage will cater for your digital satisfaction. You see, my talents in the visual and musical arts found its home in combo with my skills in the digital artistry. I can combine colors and music with computer programming like the way I combine my studies, service to God, and my family.
But then again, that is just the tip of the iceberg called Kent. You know why?
I’m still a growing dragon waiting to become the most powerful creature!
Hey Kent, thanks for the add...yup, that bass have a killer sound...i like it's deep but warm sound...perfect for my playing style...and no they're not barts...just a stock pick-up...
Overall your vision is great and your technique is also very good. My general observation is most of the photos lack eye contact and the ones that do don't have catchlights - even tho many not looking at the camera do have catchlights. Take advantage of the 7D's popup flash (set it to underexpose if need be) to easily add the catchlights. That's it! That's the minus. All the rest is positive. I like your use of large aperature lenses - very nice! Your "around town" candids are excellent and you do great image processing -- including your scenery images.
Hello Kent and Welcome to PictureSocial. Hope you find it an enjoyable place that you can learn and maybe teach others. We do have a Canon User Group. If you are interested, you can find it under the "Groups" tab at the top of the page. Hope to see you there.
