I use 2 Alien Bee B800's, and love them to death. I also use their CyberSync triggers which have never let me down.
I actually like the slide power output. I use a meter, and its a breeze to get the setting I want fast.
For the money, I don't think you can beat Paul Buff's AlienBee line of lights.
As far as stands, it seems you would need some serious heavy duty ones for all the setting up you'll be doing. I'd probably look into the heavy duty Bogens.
Barn doors…
Just make sure what ever lens you buy has a built in focus motor. Nikons are AF-S, I think Sigma's are HSM.
That is unless your into manual focusing, because your D60 doesn't have an in camera focus motor.
