The Dog Man

This photo was taken in New Mexico, while hunting for mountain lions. This is Henry, the man with the dogs. What an incredibly interesting man.

"RAW data is the "way-to-go" ..  Been shooting in RAW for the past few years (2006) when I got me hands on my first Canon.  I have an Exturnal 750Gig HD that I store them on - Before editing (It is just a place to keep them till I…"

"If you have enough hard disk space, .CR2 should not mess up your computer. Shooting in RAW gives you a range of options that JPEG can't. It's better to use RAW whenever you shoot something important. I hope you know how to work with them."

"But to answer your question, and external hard drive, or a secondary internal hard drive is your best bet."

"No, saving a Jpg in psd format does not give you the functionality of RAW. Once it's a jpg, there are a lot of elements fixed in place you could only manipulate if in RAW format."

NEED HELP - Canon Rebel T1i

Posted on December 17, 2010 at 7:05am 5 Comments

While shooting some photos, my screen stated "CARD WRITE PROTECTED", so I popped that memory card out, and replaced it, same thing "card write protected".  I tried 2 other memory cards, same thing.         I bought a new card, popped it in, same thing.

I have tried formatting the cards, not allowed.  My camera will not let me take photos, at all, and I can't erase any images.

HELP!    I have emailed Canon, but have no idea how long it will take to get…

Shooting in RAW

When I shoot my photos in RAW, where do I store them to be able to look at them, or edit or print? Because it bogs my computer down, and can't store them there, but want to be able to retrieve them. Can anybody give me advice?

Thank you for the comment about my pictures.

I only do what a famous photographer said " I take photographs of what is there"

You must see it and you must understand light, then photography becomes easy.
