Hello and welcome. It's nice to hear about someone else in my neck of the woods with similar interests. Many of the photos in my portfolio were taken in and around Kansas City. I'm still getting used to my new Sony, but primarily I try to…
I work as an Experiential Marketing Professional for my career and as a Photographer in my spare time. Photography started as a hobby and has earned me a great part-time paycheck as of late.
My Photography Equipment:
I have a Canon 10D with a couple of lenses and a Speedlite EX, carry my gear in a Kata sling bag and use a MacBook with Photoshop CS3 to finish my photos.
Hey Kris,
I'm from Indiana, but I'm gonna be in KC in a couple weeks for business. Any suggestions on good places to shoot or others to avoid? Thanks for your input.
Kris: Try Photomatix Pro (there is a low cost download version) when you decide to get into High Dynamic Range processing. Really kicks up your images. Usually you take around 5 images with different exposures then process all 5 in that software. you can experiment with their on-line free version, but it will come out with their watermark imbedded. but, it lets you see you it is done and how it comes out.
I am not yet - but hope to be eventually. I need to upload some pictures to some microstock sites -- I am actually a Director for a marketing agency, but have always loved photography and my parents used to own a studio so I grew up around photographers, etc.
