"I did use a tripod although it's not the strongest. I shot in continuos shooting with a 2 second self timer, but there was a slight breeze that could have caused this, thanks nathan."

"On that note i would appreciate any tips on how I could make this smoother without losing detail? I have used median filter, sharpen slightly and slight tone map. I use paintshop pro x4, thanks for any input."

"I would imagine you have a tone-mapping funtion, tweaking around with strength and block size can help with definition in clouds and dark areas, none the less this shot is really cool. "

Profile Information

About Me and My Photography Experience:
I'm 24 years old have had my ups and downs in life but have found great refuge in photography which I took up 3 months ago (May 2011) and haven't stoped since. Currently saving up to make the transition to DSLR and can't wait to take my experinces to a new level.
Recently upgraded to the EOS 550D and am so excited that I have now joined the DSLR world, I look forward to learning more and more.
My Photography Equipment:
Kodak Z740 5mp easy share (First ever camera owned)
Canon EOS 550D with 18-55mm lense
75-300mm USM II EF
50mm f 1.8 EF
Velbon DF 40 Tripod

thank you Liam, I have been in photography since 1980, I feel old now! at that time is was very different the film era, the tech was everyting, I didn't understand how to let it go at that time and I decided to find a "real job" and put my camera on the side only using it for family and holidays.

My real passion started only in 2006 with my first digital, I didn't want to go digital, the software, the camera, the cost too, I knew that coming back was going to cost me a bundle,  I am glad I did, the digital opened my creativity, I will never go back to film, too limited.

You are doing vey well, you are not afraid to let go, great capture and editing, after only 3 months that's amazing, :)
