Thanks for comment on "death by winter" There were about 100 dead wasps, I though only placing one in the frame made a stronger point that all of them.
Your pictures are breath taking.

I try to join any photoclub that I can, but so far none of them have had any face to face meetings. I figure if I make enough contacts then I will get my foot in the door. Trying to line up something for once I do get to retire in a few years.

Robert thank you for letting me know, I've heard that from other people too, I'll email the people in charge of that again. I'm a pipefitter by trade so their computer explanations sometimes really confuse me.

They're both pretty easy to find, and if you need any help finding different places let me know

If you like hiking there are alot in the state parks. Petit Jean has a beautiful waterfall. you can take pictures from the top and the bottom. That is one of my favorites. The ones we frequent are down here around Hot Springs. We go to Lake Catherine State park and Little Missouri falls alot because the hikes are a little easier for my kids.

Well if you're looking for nature, you're in the right place because that is the only thing we have an abundance of. :) I couldn't give you a short list because there are too many places. It all depends on what kind of pictures you're looking to take. Around your area though, I would recommend looking at Pinnacle mountain, Petit Jean and the Old Mill (from Gone with the Wind) Those are all relatively close to Little Rock and have unique scenery year round. Petit Jean is probably one of my favorites though. Just let me know if your looking for waterfalls, landscapes, caves, lakes etc and I can give you a short list for each that are my favorites!

Thank you again, Deborah!  This is part of a State park called Putnam Park. It is part Revolutionary War museum and part trail system.  I can only do part of the trail system (back injury) but it is a really beautiful place!
