About Me and My Photography Experience:: Started shooting in Nam, then I had a small studio left pro side for a while, now back working again, weddings, events, some commercial. Have lived all over the US. Other than photography, ride motorcycles, sail, occasionally fly. If you want to know more just ask.

My Photography Equipment:: Nikon D200, D300, multiple lenses, sb800's, Flashpoint 600ws mono lights and other misc equipment. Just added d700 new lens 24-85 2.8-4

I also appreciate the tip for which lens! I have a 28/200 which I use most of the time on the d50. I recently bought the 300mm to photograph my son's swim meets and got some great results. I got that from Ritz camera and asked specifically if it was fully compatible w/the d700 - no sense buying a lens that would just "dumb down" the camera! That photo you like is one of my favorites too :) My son attends the US Coast Guard Academy in CT and this was taken during a ceremony at Mystic Seaport. Unfortunately he's not in the picture. Two of my favorites of yours is the woman flipping you the bird at some social event - plenty of initial impact there ;-) and the wedding couple coming down the stairs surrounded by sparklers.Did you take tht with the 700? I hear it's super in those conditions. I also love the bold colors in some of your work too.

This is such a huge investment for me so I want to be 100% certain about the purchase - from what I have been reading and the comments from site members, I agree I can't go wrong! And I can't wait to get this camera in my hands. I'm grateful for the tip about demo models, one I hadn't thought of myself - will look into that option.
