About Me and My Photography Experience:: My name is Mark Thode. I am a student at Bemidji State University, studying to obtain my BS degree in Design Technology, with an emphasis in Print and Web-Design. I have had an interest in Photography since early high school. I recieved a Nikon coolpix - point and click camera as a gift, and instantly grew to love the fundamentals of the art of capturing life on a digital medium. I have always had an interest in the Visual Arts, but Photography advances that fine line of just having an interest/hobby and turning it into a career and life long passion.

My freshman year in college, I purchased a Digital SLR camera, the Nikon D40. I had no knowledge of Depth of Field or Manual Exposure before I took a photography class, and now its become a an art form for me to express my ideas, conceptions, and expressions.

I decided to join this Photography network to get a "network" of people with the same passion for Photography as I have, and to learn more. As you will notice, I have a strong interest in Portraiture, and have a growing interest in Nature Photography (beings that I grew up on a farm, nature is like a second family). I hope to get to know your style in Photography, and to get to know you as a Photographer.
