Hey man thanks for the feedback! No I shoot my macros with a manual focus Vivitar Series 1 90mm f/2.5 1:1 macro. For the shot of the moth I missed a better focal point because of not using a tripod. It was one of those shots where you have to snap it right then and there or otherwise forget about. I got lucky.
Hi Njim , Can you recommend a tripod for me because I just bought a tripod few day ago. Unfortunate the tripod broken today. very disappointed. Can you give me some ideal about tripod that you think is reliable. many thanks
hey man. thank you for the comment. i dont know more about lenses. i would like to have an ultra wide and a telephoto lens. what would you suggest for nikon D40? and whats that nikkor 50mm use for? and if your planning to upgrade your system, im accepting second hand accessories. hahaha. add me. thanks!
I didnt say you were agressive, if I thought that I would have said it........lol. Add me as a friend and I'll email you the special site info and explain why. I think you'll like it.
I think the contest group is just that, contest. I will make positive comments and no comments if I am no attracted to the image. I know there was some controversy in the past about suggestions being make w/out being asked for, thats why they started the critique group. I also know some critiques were aggressive in nature and not realy constructive. After all, its all in the eye of the heholder. I do know of a group that you may like, its by invitation only and you'll have to submit work to be accepted but after looking at you images I believe you can get in. Let me know if you're interested.
Alright, so I'm a part of this campaign. Myself and my friend, John, have both been a part of it since its beginning. It's called the "4 Elements" campaign on Brickfish, and yes, it's an art contest to portray the four elements (fire, air, earth, water) in best way. It will hand out $750 to whoever wins, and yes, it's being closely contested by a mixture of bland photography and children's anime: …

This is an award that many of the millions of members of deviantART want, and it was given to a photo that wasn't even art. They had… Continue

Hello, Nijim,
Hope this finds you well, I am pretty new here but love everythihg about photography... :) you have some great works there, I really love the the way you took the eye and caught the reflection in it and the lighting all around is just…
I really like the composition and the subject. The silhouettes of the trees in the background are cool, and add to the ominous tone of the photo. I just wouldn't have sharpened it so much.
Rad shot.
