Hey all,I have a big photo gig in just a few short weeks and Im a little stressed out.Im the Offical Photog for ABS Fest (Asheville Burlesque and Sideshow Festival) and am SO excited.However...when I shoot the other smaller shows, only a few of my photos turn out really well.Im shooting with a Canon 40D 50mm 1.2f any suggestions on which settings would best to use for low light, indoor live show settings? I have those lens plus 17-85mm 3.6 . I want 85mm with macro 2.8 . My 50mm 1.8 is super clear, wish I got a 50mm1.4 with macro and the metal mount and no the plastic mount.

The 50 1.4 will retain its value, whereas the 18-55 has very little trade in value. On a crop sensor camera, it becomes a great portrait lens.

I do not know about the 18-55 but the 50mm 1.4 is very nice though I rarely use it anymore but I do also reccomend the 85mm 1.8 which I have used a lot for portraits and is also under $400 and takes really nice photos.
