My passion has always been photography, ever since receiving a Russian made dual lens reflex camera for my 22nd birthday many moons ago! I think it was the camera that facinated me because as you looked through the view finder the subjects were upside down which required extra concentration in order to frame the picture correctley, once I had mastered this, I bought a second hand camera which had a bellows lens and no instructions, it took me a couple of months to get to grips with this camera, having to learn about correct exposure and appertures, then I decided to be brave and buy my first SLR camera, at that time I could only afford a Praktica which was made in the GDR but represented excellent value for money this camera made me look as if I knew about photography, and very quikley my diary began to fill up with wedding bookings which meant I was able to finance my hobby, and buy more equipment that sometimes I would struggle to use. I guess that the real reason that I enjoy photography so much is that it enables me to sometimes express myself, and be artisic as I do not have the talent to paint or draw, so this is why I rely on the lens of my camera, also with our cameras we are able to capture those special moments, and some time in the future our photos will be of historic interest. My other hobbies are fishing, but only in good weather, and also cycling which I am able to combine with my photgraphy as I always have a camera with me when riding my bike.
My Photography Equipment:
I currently own a Nikon D5000 with a AF 18 - 270 zoom lens, and a set of mobile studio lights with an assortment of back drops. The software that I use is Adobe CS3.
