I appreciate the kind words on my pictures. I'm working on becoming a professional, but I don't think that I will get there as I work in IT as a Systems Engineer. I see myself making some money on the side to support the passion. I actually shot my first ad for a Orthopedic Surgeon a week ago. The ad comes out in the local news paper this week, then the second ad runs the following week. Not sure where that will lead, but I'm still learning. If you haven't tried Mazatlan yet, its the real deal! The are on 70th and O Street, but you may be closer to La Mexicana which is on N. 17th I believe, just across the street from "The Bar" if you know that place. We ate at Mazatlan for ten years and La Mexicana has fresh tamales that you can buy.

I lived over in the Havelock area off N. 56th Street. I hate to say it, but I kind of miss certain aspects of Lincoln. I've been dying for GREAT Mexican food, Mazatlan was our favorite place to eat.

What's up Ray, welcome to PictureSocial. I just moved from Lincoln to Richmond, VA 2 1/2 years ago. I use to work right across the street from Memorial Stadium. What books are you using for your photography classes?
