- I'm an 18 yr old college student. Not sure what I'm going to major in, but I'm considering photography.
- My Photography Equipment:
- Nikon D70 and N70 with a couple of lenses. I also use an Olyumpus point and shoot as a carry around.

Tom Wilson said… - I can't help but wonder what kind of instruction you may have had in lighting and composition. I would suggest that as an 18 year old college student, the quality of your work has already surpassed that of some "Seasoned professionals" I know. Whether or not you declare your major in photography, it is clear you have a deliberate and mindful approach to the camera. If you have not already, I hope you consider assisting for a professional (or two) in your area. Look for pros who's day rate is $3,500.00 or better. Not only will you learn techniques and tricks that you never dreamed of, you may also have access to some really exotic lenses. I would love to see what you could do with a few off camera flashes and some very wide lenses.

Many groups to join like the Canon and Nikon users, Flower and Plant groups. Look around and see where you fit in. Join as many as you like. Learn from observing others works. Participate in areas you like and contribute to discussions. Add a blog, comment on others work on their pages. Most of all, enjoy this site.
