I never said I was a professional. Taking pictures helps me to get away from work. It's something I've learned to enjoy.

Taking pictures is supposed to be a fun hobby, when you take the fun out of it, it is no longer a hobby I enjoy.

Again, the site "is not" meant to be a commercial/business site. Just to have a place to display some of my pictures. I can fix the grammatical errors -- that's no problem. I do not put myself out there to be a professional, I am far…

Thanks to everyone who offered their feedback. It's truly appreciated. But it seems there were more negative comments than good ones. Didn't seem to be any balance between the two. But I'm not mad. It's what I get for trying to…

As the others have pointed out, there does not seem to be a theme unless it is cityscapes. I have some galleries on my page which are similar in that one is just a bunch of shots I thought were neat, that were taken around Toronto and another is a…

I like the front page that is generated by the flash. It seems the focal point is the cut off (broken off) stem among the flowers. I think when I look at your gallery, it makes me think that the site is an experiment or a work in progress. I…

Hi Rene, CC is right about the main floral image, it could be a lot better and as it's the first thing people see it has to have the 'wow factor!' Not sure what the intention of the site is, whether it's just a place to store…

About Me and My Photography Experience:
I'm no expert, but I enjoy shooting photos of various places. My hope is to gain more knowledge in the field of photography, enhance what I already know, and taking what I've learned into a whole new area of photography for me to explore.

Next to writing poetry and computer dibbles and dabbles, photography has become another release for me. A way to escape the hard days of work and responsibility. I can dive into taking pictures, totally lose myself, and make the unique attempt to become one with my cameras --- I have four -- go figure (a long ways from using a film camera, graduating to/from a rinky-dink digital camera that didn't even have an LCD screen, stabelization, or aperture settings to the cameras I have now)! I hope to learn a great deal here on this site. See what pictures others are photographing, hopefully learn some new tricks and tips to better photography.
My Photography Equipment:
I use a Canon EOS Rebel XS/1000D, Kodak Z712 IS, a Nikon, and a Samsung T220 Dual View LCD. I didn't buy my first SLR -- Canon -- until May 2009. I went through a major thought process, about a month or two, before making the decision. And I'm glad I did. After I got over the initial shock of the overwhelmness of the camera, got myself two more lenses, using the camera became more comfortable for me.

So I'm often asked, "why do you have four cameras?" My sister, who is also a photographer among many other things, she has multiple cameras for varoius uses. I believe that each camera holds it's own uniqueness. One does something the other doesn't do, whereas my Canon outshines them when it comes to getting those dynamic, hard to get, shots. My Samsung is my "when I'm on the go" camera, this is the one I never leave home without, and it takes great profile pictures, too. My Kodak is for the just out shooting whatever, or when we are attending certain events that I know it can handle. The Nikon, well, it is for quick shots...nothing major. It's one of my older cameras so if I use it, I make sure I'm in good enough lighting to where I can get the shot I'm going for. If I want to do something really crazy, then I'll grab my daughter's Vivitar for great aperture shooting, or her Nikon Coolpix for something just fun to do.

So it's all about variety with me. The more the variety, the better the pictures. It's fun and the end results are usually just as exciting as taking the pictures.
